After Effects Plugin

After Effects Plugin

So you’ve decided to try creating more complex animations using After Effects but you cringed when thinking about the amount of time you’ll have to spend on youtube to figure out how to set-up complex transitions and effects.

Here’s a simple solution for you. Use a plugin with transitions and effects already built in. All big motion designers use plugins. Why? To save time obviously. So you can concentrate on the concept, illustrations and synchronization instead of endless adjustments to get your animation just right.

If you are like me, a student, you don’t necessarily have the budget to buy plugins. I recently found a great, FREE, legit, plugin, that’s easy to use and provides a good amount of simple effects and transitions. In the above video, you can see what I was able to produce by using it. Here is the link to download the tool, for both Mac or PC:

Malika Favre

Malika Favre

If you’ve never seen Malika Favre’s illustrations, you’re definitely missing out on something. I might be biased because Favre uses a lot of stripes and bold colors, but this artist could teach even the best of us how to use positive/negative space.

Favre is one of the UK’s most sought after graphic artists, which clients include The New Yorker, Vogue, Sephora and Penguin Books, amongst many others.

Do take the time to check out her work.
